Seven daaaayysss... S-seven whole freezing days since she had sent out that Gifter sighting flare and not one soul had come yet! The insulation on her tent was far too thin and the wind was barely held off from scraping her frozen flesh off her shivering bones. Ok, maybe not quite seven days, she had little doubt she could have been a day or two off, but honestly! Was no one going to come?! The poor woman had certainly gotten the shortest straw when it came to the Gifter positioning, why couldn’t she have gotten somewhere warm?! Or how about humid but raining?! She wouldn’t have minded that! Anywhere with a scrap of living people would have been just fine by her! And why in the name of all the Gods of Ladelle did this stupid creature choose to come out to such a desolate, frozen, place as the far northern end of the mountains?!! She would have rather gone to the bloody Desodens! At least there were living things there... they might have liked to destroy her- but at least she’d have company! The monitor that had been scanning the area for any living creatures went off suddenly with a fast beat beeping, looking over the pile of foil covered rations she had in front of the monitor she could see a little red dot headed her way, “Oh thank the Fortunes!” She gasped as she fully zipped up her bright yellow snow suit and fought her way out of her nicely enclosed tent. Coming up the icy front was an orange box shaped vehicle with spines and chains on it’s belted tires, it was large enough to be holding a good some of people; hopefully the needed three she’d requested. The Snow vehicle stopped a good yard away and the doors opened. The wind was pushing snow into her face and se could hardly feel her nose, but she’d never been more happy to see pet trainers in her life! Welcoming them with wide waves of her hands she shouted for them to follow her into the tent, the harsh blowing winds swept away the loudness of her voice but they should have still heard her clear enough or at least gotten the clue. And so she stood by the Tent’s front and showed them each in, including the fellow scientist who had brought them all the way up this horrid mountain.

Topak "WHOO!" a bright streak of yello hopped out of the strange contraption, a yellow viikuan who seemed happy after being in such close proximity to others. Sure they weren't viikuan, but they were alive and that was alright by him. New people, new people! He couldn't believe it! And this gifter hunt? Sounded like fun! A new friend! Topak was pumped tail wagging dangerously behind him. Even more dangerous than just any big dog, what with such a blade naturally placed there.

The ride had not been smooth in it's opinion, plus the cramming of others in there made it even worse, which is why it was glad they came to a halt. "Alright..." It breathed while it jerked it's head up. "I will," It's voice was as soft as a whisper now, but cold and fierce as the freezing aura around it. "finish this." Because of its slender body and flexibilty it was able to get out of the vehicle without any trouble, and it slithered forward to the front of the crowd now beginning to form. The land was cold up here and it seemed to fit well with the Mynx. It could possibly use this as an advantage. And yet, he missed the warmth of the sun back down the mountain.

Why did Gray have to stay at home? This place was so cold! Granted, the Drizzle Kyoonil was okay in the cold, but there was no hope for learning to fly here. Sighing, she approached the desk with surprising speed. "I'm not too late, am I? I'd like a license, please! Don't worry, I won't slow everyone down," she added to those gathered around her.

Topak wagged excitedly, now ready for this hunt. But... He didn't want to go alone. Or, well, he'd much prefer a huge group to go with him but... Maybe he could go with uh... uh... The yellow viikuan looked at the group. Somebody fast, to run with! "Hey! You!" he said, bounding over to the mynx. "Want to look with me?!"
Topak was loud, excitable and hyper. Maybe not the best one for a hunt. But he would beable to keep up with a gifter if it decided to run, right? So... he could do this, for sure!

The scientist smiled at all of them.. taking a moment to absorb the presence of other living beings. With a deep breath she chucked the licenses at the three of them and left the tend abruptly, "The creature sighting was a few leagues west of here. Good luck~ Oh- and a different van will be here tomorrow to pick you up. Feel free to camp in this tent when evening comes! All electronics maybe used at your disposal!" with that she face paced her way to the transportation tractor. The other scientist that had drove them up waved to them as he got himself into the driver's seat.

The Kyoonil turned to the others, looking them over. Both of them looked quite suitable for the cold as well, with their warm fur and all.
"Hello," she said carefully. "My name is Clandine. I don't believe I caught your names...?" Hopefully, they wouldn't ignore her. Or she might have to hurt them...

He'd seen the other creature, for sure. But the other one was a bit more his size. Oh but the other one was speaking! Yah, alright! His yellow body snapped around, twisting towards the other one on this hunt, "Hey-" cut off again. Oh! Right! They needed licenses, right, right, right. He took his, shivering. Not from the cold but from having to stand still to recieve the license.
Wow! Man that had been tough. His attention returned to the smaller blue critter, "Hey, good to meetcha'," the viikuan gasped excitedly. Ow! Wow! That air was really cold, maybe he'd stick to breathing through his nose. "I've already forgotten your name. I'm Topak though, you looking for a gifter? Won't that be really hard, being so slow?"

"I'm quite fast!" snapped Clandine. "And my name is Clandine. I know I can't run as fast as you, but at least I won't scare the Gifters away!" With a sigh, she pondered once more on the Ootle altering stand. Cheap, but only took a few customers at a time. So she had been unable to get wings...

The viikuan jumped up in the air. It looked exagerated but that was just Topak being... Topak. He looked surprised at the outburst, "Oh. I'm sorry. But we should go or we'll never find a gifter," All smiles, tongue lolling excitedly. He was already forgetting; if not having already forgotten; the little outburst and wanting to go. Go, go, go!

OOC: Sorry guys. I got my Internet shut off at home. o3333o;; I didn't forget about this. And uhh... Moofie-luff, are you still talking to the Mynx or the turtle-thing? xD;; I can't tell anymore. Okay, umm... I figured it out. <x3 I swear, I'm not gonna forget about this. Also, the Mynx doesn't have a gender. o3o So if it says one, it was on accident, since typing "it" can get hard. >>
The cold Mynx grabbed the license that female scientist had thrown toward it. Clenched it hard in between it's teeth but making sure it wasn't enough to ruin the thing. It did still need it for it (the Mynx) to actually be legible for it to receive a gifter if it is able to catch any that is. Or the information it knew was correct. Then it waited for the scientist to tell the piece of info it wanted; the location of the gifters' last sighting. But as it did another fellow hunter in this chase approached it. It tilted it's head toward the Viikuan, it's bright colors reminding him of the sun. It hesitated before answering the question the other asked, "... Look... with you?" It looked the Viikuan over. Obviously by the size of the other creature he would be able to bring down the gifter if needed, and it knew that the species Viikuan are fast. But still, the Mynx itself wasn't sure if it would be able to work with others: It never really tried. Then he heard another hello. This time it was the Kyoonil it recognized from the trip over. It's pale blue orbs turned to her. It wondered what was it that brought the attraction of others to it. Had the fake smile over it's black lips fooled the people into thinking that it was its? It's response had seem a bit too slow, and because of that the two, the Viikuan and the and the Kyoonil, had got together on this trip from what it could tell. A cold breath flowed out between its teeth. It was it's own fault for hesitating. Maybe it was a sign anyway. But no matter, it had to get a move on. "It..." It's head lowered as if it was bowing to the two. "was nice meeting you both, but I'm afraid it's time to get a move on. So I can not stay and social." He paused. It would be nice to travel with the others. But it was unsure of a way to invite it's self in, as the moment had already passed. A twist of it's ears in the direction, it trotted toward west to begin searching. Then paused and cranked it's neck back: "Are we looking?"

OOC: Double post, 'cause I got to get to five. o333o;; And I have little time left.
Further ahead, as it squinted, it could see a small opening on what it seemed to be a the side of the mountain. It wasn't very large, so certain beings would be unable to see it's entrance unless extremely closer. Were the gifters perhaps hiding from the cold weather and people? It was a possibility, as it turned and headed toward it in a way only a snake could do or a creature with such a flexibility, and headed toward the mouth at a quiet speed. Any small sound could give off it's location off, and it really wasn't willing to let that happen when it still had a ways of a walk. At least it wanted to make sure it was inside the hole; so then it would be able to catch up or at least figure out which way the gifter(s) went. The tip of it's tail flickered, which can cause people to think it enjoyed the hunt, but instead, it was an old habit whenever it concentrated on something. The cave still laid a quite a bit a ways, and it didn't even know if the others would follow it's self into the place. Whether they did, or did not didn't really matter as much, the only thing that matter was to not run out of time before the vehicle arrived tomorrow to take them back. [...] It stopped in it's tracks. Now that it thought about it, the time remaining wasn't very long . And it still had to locate the gifters. That left an even shorter time to give chase and catch it or to even plot out a trap to capture it with. So it sped up a bit, not much to make sound, but just enough to close the space between it's destination and where it currently stood even quicker.

Oh! It seemed like that myxn guy was talking. He really liked him (even though the gender had never been made clear). He felt buddy-buddy with him. Of course Topak felt buddy-buddy with everyone. So this would be no surprise to anyone who knew the viikuan. "Oh! I'm coming! Wait up!" he called, following after the strange creature. A furry reptile, how peculiar. He'd heard of them, back at the pen. Moofius gushed about them a whole lot. How cool they were how much she wanted to get one. It was very peculiar to be sure.
Topak didn't much pay attention to Moofius. She was a rather busy girl, running that stand. Moarwhen too. Topak had set to begging Moofius to have the next one and he was sure she was caving. Right, gifter hunt.
He kept with the other, managing to take the hint of quiet as he followed. He had to squint against the snow but he seemed otherwise accustomed to the chill. "Hey," he whispered, "Hey... If you're like... a big leezard,", mispronunciation and all, "wouldn't you like... fall asleep and freeze in the cold?"

The Kyoonil quickly hurried after, her little legs sliding on the snow. After a moment, she withdrew into her shell, sliding along until she nearly bumped into one of the Mynx's legs, just in time to hear Topak speak again.
"Er...hey," she called to the deerlike reptile. "Do you have a name? I need something to call you by..."

It never heard Topak call out, and didn't take it's eyes off the cave entrance as he did arrive next to it. They were getting closer and closer by the minute. A few cold breezes blew into it's face. It seemed the wind was working against their speed, but in favor of allowing them to sneak up and be undetected by smell. Plus since they were downwind, it would be easier to smell the gifters out. That is if they even have a scent. It's mind churned the thought around, the only information it had about the gifters were from rumors and the very little facts out there. No first hand experience or details told straight from someone who went on a hunt like this. It heard the Viikuan speak. "[...] I don't know if I even..." It felt the pressure of air and scattered snow near it's hind legs, and glanced back to see the other just now catching up. It's lips twitched to a frown, but still the fake smile made it look like it wasn't scowling at all, before it continued. "Qualify as a reptile. But as for freezing, it's kind of impossible for that since..." How would it explain. Never had it really been asked a question similar to that since the first time it ran upon that person. "I don't know how to explain." It sighed, hoping for the other to understand. And then the Kyoonil asked a different question. A great way to change the topic, but still not something it would like to be asked. "A... name?" What use was something like that? It was like everyone had a fondness for things like that. "No... I... I don't I'm afraid." Though the person used to call it buddy, it wasn't sure that would answer what the Kyoonil, Clandine, was asking. It pushed ahead over a small clump of snow. It wondered if the others would take it personally if it asked why they were here.
