Topak wasn't very good at taking hints or reading peoples emotions. It seemed he didn't comprehend any negative emotion at all. "No name? Really? But how would you know if somebody was talking to you if they can't call out your name?" This question answered one question of the myxn's he'd never voiced. The use of a name. If somebody said, "Hey, Viikuan" Topak probably wouldn't react. Maybe a confused look around to check for other viikuans before he knew the person meant him. But as soon as somebody said his name he'd be there in a moment.
He didn't wait for an answer though. Only mild interest in the rest of the group, really. Instead he started sniffing around at the snow. Maybe if there was a different scent from his companions...W ell that would mean gifters... right? This seemed logical enough for Topak to start sniffing around. ka-CHOO! Snow up his nose! Oh, oh that was cold. He continued sniffing, being careful to keep his nose above the snow.

It was faint.. terribly faint, for the frozen winds that shot through the peeks had carried the majority of the scent away.. but Surely the scent of mint was slightly in the air? Surely it was- and those keeping a sharp nose out would soon find that it was getting stronger. What was candy doing out here? Maybe it was just one of those rare Yumi types... the ones that came from Candi genes? What ever the case, it was most certainly present.. and it was moving.
The hunters were getting closer! Much closer! And perhaps their hunt would prove to be easier to complete then they thought. Why? Well a narrator doesn't know and simply tell! But they were nearing the end of this hunt and the bitter sweet ending that would come with it's conclusion.

Being a reptile, Clandine's scenting ability wasn't terribly strong, but she noticed Topak's agitation and glanced up curiously.
"Do you sense something?" she asked. The word "smell" was so foreign to her that she declined using it when possible. Could it be possible that the Gifters were already nearby? They must have moved faster than it seemed they had.

Wow! That was a great smell! Peppermint, or something like it? Topak instantly thought of Christmas and Santa Claus... And gifters! Yah! Gifters were Christmas-see, right?
"I smell candy-canes! Like... peppermint, right? I love candy canes!" He said excitedly, already forgetting the connection he'd made from candy canes to gifters. Then it returned full force after a long pause. "Oh! Oh, right! Maybe it's a gifter!" he said, bouncing around excitedly before suddenly taking off, following the scent. Oh boy oh boy!
The wind and the snow that pulled at him didn't seem to phase the viikuan as he tore through the snow. Seemed Topak had been made for this kind of stuff.

Clandine ducked her head down low and began padding after the Viikaun, but then turned for a moment to the Mynx. "Aren't you going to come along too?" she asked curiously. After all, wasn't the point of this hunt to find a Gifter?
"If you're coming, better hurry up. It looks like Topak is a little overenthusiastic," the Kyoonil added with a chuckle. "He should have waited a little, no?"

There was a storm heading in- and something red with a green patch in the distance... There were two little things beside it.. It was moving slowly, the snow seemed to be making it's movements lethargic, or maybe something else was slowing it down? What ever the case, it wasn't far from the caves the hunters were so closely nearing; to top it off- it appeared it was intending to meet with them-- Perhaps this deep cold was too much for it? Or maybe there was more to it.. The beast was approaching non the less.
((I'd like to point out that if Elliot doesn't post in the next two days this Hunt will be over with out her~)

Sniff, sniff, sniff, sniff... Oh, man! That smell! It was stronger now. Topak was moving quite quickly through the snow, even with the wind against him. The viikuan looked up and saw something... something moving. "OH!" he gaped. Wow, there it was! Well, probably I mean it seemed very likely...
He didn't even get through that thought before he started tearing through the snow. No time was wasted to pull the scent towards the beast. No, he could SEE it now. He could see it and smell it's Christmas scent on the air. Suddenly, very suddenly and without warning he popped straight into the air. A whited out yellow splotch in this wind. "Hey! HEY!", he called excitedly, popping high into the air again, "Hey! Wanna' be friends!?"

Clandine hurried forwards, following after Topak. Was the Gifter with young? Her eyes were rather suited to this environment, and she was sure she could see a large shape with two smaller ones following after it.
"Be quiet!" she whispered softly. "I think it might have little ones with it; we don't want to alarm it!" Then again, creeping after it and popping up all of a sudden might have the same effect, but still...

The Gifter was taken aback for a moment by the enthusiasticness of the yellow creature that approached it with such vigor. It took a hesitant step away from them; The little floating creatures that had followed it didn’t hesitate for a moment to go zooming at the Viikuan and nestle themselves into his warm thick tuffs of fur. The two made soft peeping noises as if to express their liking to the warmth. But there was still something the Gifter was hiding… The reason it had been moving to slow- There was no young Gifter here. As the candy-cain-like Gifter began to reveal what ever it was protecting, there was a look of concern on it’s face. Surely it’s heart was beating hard in it’s chest, but the situation that it was in left it no choice- either these living creatures would be able to help it… or they wouldn’t… The wide eyes of the odd creature that it was trying so hard to shield from the wind gaped at the hunters that stood before it. It’s body was all but naked of thin fur and it’s flesh was pale blue from the cold. What on earth could this odd creature have been? It was young- even with out knowing what it was, one could plainly see the look of adolescence in its eyes, the infancy it’s awkward stance held. The Hunters had not only found their Gifter… but a new species as well!
