It was a quiet, bright morning. That night, the S.S. Icewater set off for Synigrad Island. Two special girls were on the boat. Marie and Rena Snowdragon, cousins of Kairi Snowdragon, were set for Synigrad in their boat for one reason: to find an Amber Eggcorn, two if they could. But they were sure it would only be one. Rena, with her reddish brown hair always pulled back in a spiky bun, suddenly awoke, her eyes wide. "Marie, MARIE! I think we're here." she said. She looked around. Her sister wasn't there. "Marie?" The red haired girl got up lazily, her movements slow and steady. The boat rocked beneath her. She was used to it. The gentle sway reminded her of her old Yumi, Seafoam. She was the most beautiful Sapphire Yumi she'd ever had. A tear slid down her face. Seafoam had died only days ago. She wiped it away quickly as she was greeted by the rising sun. "Marie?" she called again. "Over here." a voice called. Her sister was ajusting the sail. Suddenly the boat was caught by a wave, Rena quickly grabbed the steering wheel and turned it the other way, holding it firmly. Marie jumped down to help. Marie had also had a Yumi. He was so cute, he was a Ruby Yumi. His name was Sunspots, and he was so funny. Seafoam and Sunspots had fallen in love, breeding numerous times. But Rena and Marie had sold all their Eggcorns, giving them to numerous families, old people in need of someone to love, charities that needed pets for their younger charges. The two sisters held it fast, and soon their boat was coming into site of Synigrad Island. Marie smiled and Rena just did a happy hop and yelled, "Synigrad HO!"

Rena jumped to get the anchor and Marie steered the boat into a small cove. "Now, Rena!" she shouted, and the red haired girl let the anchor sail through the air and plummet into the cove's waters. As soon as the anchor hit hte bottom, the girls were jumping out of the boat and onto the shore. They were super excited. Rena was shouldering on a backpack and Marie a satchel. A canteen swug from both of their hips, and a First Aid kit shook in Rena's backpack. They came as far onto shore as they could without going into the foilage and sat down, taking in the beautiful island. They looked around, finding to see many trees that would look like Eggcorn Trees. They sighed. They knew this would be hard.

Marie dropped her satchel to the ground and pulled out a large blanket and a lunch box. Rena also pulled out a lunch box, and they both sat and ate their lunches. Rena was chowing down on a peanut-butter and jelly sandwich, Marie a ham and cheese. As they finished up their lunch, Marie scanned the close trees harboring acorns and Eggcorns. Maybe there was no Eggcorns around. Maybe there were. She sighed. "Rena, you almost finished?" she asked her sister, who was enjoying a large bag of Cheetos. "Almost." she said through a mouthful of baked cheese products. Her fingers and lips all cheesy, Marie couldn't help but laugh. Rena gave her a cold glare and wiped her fingers clean in a large moist towelette. "I was enjoying a snack, not supplying your enjoyment!" Rena said. Marie laughed at that statement too. Rena giggled. She meant to make her laugh with that.

"Okay, enough laughing, let's get to finding that eggcorn." Marie said, grabbing her sack. Rena also straddled her's onto her back and headed towards the island's forest of palm fronds and banana trees. "So," Rena asked, trekking through the forest behind her sister, "what do these Amber eggcorns look like?" Marie smiled and cut through a large plant blocking their way with a machete she had in her pack. "There amber colored, Raye." she said matter-of-factly, and Rena scowled. "Well no duh, but I mean is there any certain feature to them, like do they have any designs on them?" Marie frowned as she tried to recall the image. "They didn't have any markings, no, but they shone brightly. Though I wouldn't be surprised if the ones we're looking for would be deep in mud or dirty, at least. I mean, Toxic and Pown can't care for every eggcorn that's born." Marie said, thinking of the kind caretaker who harvested the eggcorns that came and the candy crazed one. She smiled, thinking of Pown trying to steal the candy based eggcorns. They trekked farther, then stopped to rest in a small clearing. Rena looked at her red wristwatch. "It's... eleven fifteen right now, so if we keep looking, I bet we can scour this whole island in..." Rena quickly ran the numbers in her head, using an air calculator as she determined the numbers. "Lessee... carry the 4... subtract the 28... if we start in the middle and keep going around, then we should cover about half the island in... 36 hours or so, as long as we don't rest. But it'll take us two days if we take short naps and don't break as we eat." she said. Marie sighed. "Two days? I don't know if I can take two days." Rena scowled. "Are you sure this eggcorn is worth it?" Marie smiled. "Oh, it's worth it all right."

Rena frowned. "Fine, but no naps shorter than ten minutes. We can sleep when we find that eggcorn." she said while looking through her pack. "What are you looking for?" she asked quizzically, staring at the bag. "I'm making sure we have a towel or two that will stay dry for the eggcorn. I'm not going to let it die on us once we find it." Marie smiled. Even when Rena didn't want to do something, she made sure that it happened smoothly.
After about an hour, they stopped to rest under a shady tree. Rena laid against it's trunk, unmoving, while Marie tried to figure out their next move. "We should go..." she said, looking at her compass. Rena smiled a bit, then said, "West." Marie smiled. "Thanks." she said quietly, then looked back at the compass. The needle was swinging wildly. "No dice. The needles going astray, we'll have to wing it." Rena's smile fell into a scowl. "Great."

Ignoring her sister, Marie looked up at the sky. The sun was setting. "Oooh, perfect. We'll just head towards the sun." Rena looked up. "What? It's already sunset?" she asked, getting up. "Yup." Marie said. They'd been walking long, but they hadn't suspected that they were going for more than two hours. Rena whistled low. As they watched the sun set, Rena's mind started to wander. What if they didn't find the eggcorn? She wouldn't be surprised. Marie was too confident in everything, never taking time to think things through. Sure, there was a few other things that they could find, but after about 6 hours, nothing had crossed their path. Not even an Ootle. Rena found that a bit unnerving, but also odd. You'd think that with all the promising information about the creatures living here, you would see a few. But the whole place was still. Were they really that afraid of people?

Stepping over a large patch of some type of poisonous plant(she couldn't remember what it was), Marie said to her sister, "Just a little bit farther. A couple more steps. Once we get to that clearing, we'll stop."
Rena scowled, blowing air through her nose and feeling just plain stupid. They were hiking around an island for nothing. NOTHING! Rena didn't even feel like being here anymore. It was just some stupid trip that they never should have come on. Finally, they made it into the amazingly clear clearing. Looking around, she saw many trees, but none of them Eggcorn trees.
Marie noticed this too. "Maybe we should-" "Keep going? No! We're staying here for the night." said Rena, her face twisted in anger. She wished she was home. The faster they found this eggcorn the better.
Marie and Rena pulled out their tent and set up.
