Ah. So Topak, Blue, and.... the baby. It felt sort of odd to him, just referring to the infant as 'baby'. Well... When one didn't have a name maybe that was just about all they could decide for it. Maybe Topak would decide on a name during the course of their hunt. From his experience, it felt much better to have a name then to just be called random things for the sake of you not having one.
Oh yes. Which way did they want to go. Tilting his head to the side, Enver softly and slowly spoke out, "Well... The saying back home is 'always go left'... Maybe we could try to the left first?" He had no clue what the meaning behind that saying was, but apparently it was actually an inside joke that they had just carried with them through the years and used even now when referring to directions.
"But of course that is only if you two wish to do so." He by far didn't see himself as the leader of this little group, seeing as how the others had already met up when he came upon them. His mind was also rather distracted from taking the lead by the fact that the baby's eyes were still locked on him. He felt as though if he got any closer to Topak he'd probably feel the child pulling at his fur, making cooing, happy noises. Fur pulling wasn't something he exactly liked though, so he kept the distance between them.

Not so far from the group, one could see something strange. Or maybe not really strange, but unusual. It was located right between two trees, two trees side by side, very close to each other. And between those trees was a big bump in the ground. Why, yes, little mounts of earth aren't really unusual, are they? It's a natural phenomenon, one could say. But there was something unusual about the mount. But it wasn't the mount itself.
Sticking out of the ground was this small, slightly curved stick. It was short, so short it was even hard to notice it. But it was indeed there, sticking out of the ground, as if it were waiting for someone to discover it... Wasn't that unusual?

"Left sounds right to me!" Topak barked happily, taking the lead. Making decisions, leading, discussing. It was wasting precious search time, that's what it was doing! So Topak turned left and started walking, looking around houses, both sides of the street. But whipping his head, back and forth... He felt he might miss something. Stopping in front of two trees which were tight pressed for room he called attention to the group. "How about two people take one side of the street, and the other tow take the... well the other? My heads starting to spin,"
While Topak was actually acting like a leader without realising it, something else caught the Jika babies attention. As the light of the sun finally died, green eyes grew bright and shinning. Always boring into the gifter, or at least until they'd stopped. Something else had caught the Jika babies attention. A strange scent in the air, or a strange feeling the jika turned to the trees stuck close together. One head tip to the right, then the left followed by a stream of amused giggles. What was amusing the jika, nobody could be sure. With the baby on his back, Topak couldn't see what the jika was seeing. A strange little stick poking out of the ground like a place marker of some sort.
(( Sorry for the wait. D= ))

((S'alright. X3 I had other commitments to attend to over the weekend anyways.))
Blue nodded, following Topak, gliding easily above his newly found friends. What a way to start a new life in Ladelle! He'd made friends with three of the more rare creatures: a Gifter, a Jika Baby, and a Viikuan! My my, this was exciting. He found himself above Topak as they stopped at the two trees, almost touching the Jika Baby. Realizing this might frighten it, he rose, and it was then he spotted the stick. "Hey... what's that?" he said, pointing to the odd protrusion.

Enver followed after the yellow Viikuan, head casually glancing from one side to the other every now and then. He saw no need to torment his poor brain like Topak was, not wanting to have a headache within the next few minutes. He let out a small chuckle as the canine spoke out and gave a nod. "No problem. It'd make it easier on all of us after all."
It was then that the Gifter realized that the attention of the Jika had been pulled away from him to look at something else, which apparently it found funny judging on the giggles that spilled fort from it. "Hmm? Did the baby... find something?" His eyes glanced in the general area that it was looking in, searching in detail for what it had possibly spotted. A.... stick? He blinked, tilting his head slightly to the side. "Hey Topak. I think yer kid possibly found something over there." In his opinion, since the Jika had spotted it first, it was Topak's right to get to figure out what it was.

Topak spun around, looking over his shoulder to see where the baby was looking. This was a useless action, but following almost religiously the stupidity of a canine, Topak tried anyway. "Huh? What? Baby found something?"
The jika had flopped down against the bright yellow fur to keep from falling off, giggling madly. This was a fun outing. When his father had finally stopped he slipped off the viikuans back, toddling over to the stick. The jika tugged at the stick, making the usual baby sounds. "Look, look! I found something!" He seemed to say. All that came out was nonsense. Topak watched, heead to the side. "Hey... A stick!... Do evil gourds have sticks?" he asked, touching the mound curiously.

Blue shrugged; Topak's guess was as good as his. "Maybe..." he said, smiling at the Jika's attempt at unearthing the stick. "What do you think, Enver?" he asked the Gifter. He might have different insight on the odd stick, or maybe he knew better than them about these Hallow'Kins. Blue scratched at his tail, twirling the tip idly as he did when debating what to do. Well, there wasn't much a risk of digging up the stick or whatever it was attached to, and it shouldn't take long if the stick was that close to protrude from the ground. Unless it was very long, which Blue doubted. "There's no risk... do you guys wanna try to dig it up?" he asked.

As the Jika Baby tugged and tugged at the small stick, a strange noise could be heard from inside the ground... How strange. And one would have thought that the stick would have been dug in pretty deep... but again, it was strange, for the stick came out almost instantly. To reveal...
... this strange thing. How... bizarre this was. Was this a Hallow'Kin...? Either way, it seemed like the Jika Baby had made quite the discovery. [/color]
