'Twitch-twitch' would have been a very good action to describe Pown's mindset when somebody went and invited themselves again. Needless to say that the man very rarely liked anyone at all, he was known well enough for his hatred toward others. He even hated that other human that he lived with. Odd, no? So of course he wasn't fond of Gray, when she was all around intruding on them, then taking off on her own, and basically just annoying him to no end. He snapped at her. "You have nothing to do with this!" His head whipped around at her and his eyes were narrowed into a powerful death glare. Had she seen a true manifestation of darkness? Probably not, but that's exactly the feel of hate he was giving off just then. "You've invited yourself into our party, ran off afterward, and now have the gut to think we'd let you join us? 'fraid not. You're not necessary."
During the time of his little unpleasant speech, Queen's ears went back against her head. She didn't like it when he got angry or in one of his otherwise darker moods, but it was hard to blame her human friend in this situation. She could sort of see where he was coming from... He was being protective over the Gifter, so he was just trying to do something good for it...
Malice also shouted back at the group once again to usher them on before the trail of the Gifter was lost. "Let's get moving on!" Soon, he resorted to jumping up into a tree and scurrying across the branches to get a better view from above, a better one to hunt from.
Pown turned back to Destiny, very calm with her. "Yes, we'll split up. I'll take this way, so that'll leave the other up to you, sound like a plan? The others can go where the wish, so long as they are careful." And so he also held compassion for the creatures in their group. Being in the hurry that he was, however, he didn't wait for Destiny's exact agreement. If they wasted any more time, this may just end up completely useless. He was on the move.

The vixen gave a rather quick nod before setting off on her destination of keeping up with him, but from quite the opposite end. She would not fail this time. She'd keep to this plan and make sure that if she didn't get the hunter, then Pown would. One way or another... It would be going home with one of them. A home where it would possibly get attacked by its own owner was no place for a creature to live. She didn't know how life was with Pown and his companions, but the three of them seemed to be er... she couldn't say happy as Malice and Pown didn't seem like happy guys, but they seemed to like one another and didn't appear to be fighting. They lived in peace, which was better then fearing every day of your life.
The white Lollia watched as Destiny raced on ahead. She had an idea of her own as well. She'd give the others a bit of the head start, and then follow from behind just incase the Gifter decided to turn around and come back this way. Not much she'd be able to do about it, but maybe she could possibly at least distract it. Thus, after standing there for a few moments Azmaria took off once again, not rushing since she didn't have to keep up with the others.
Wherever Queen would go, so would the Naos. It was quite happy with its spot, and didn't feel like leaving just to find another and get comfortable. Besides, it wasn't like they were all going to split up in a minute anyways. The others had to catch the gifter, and Azmaria had to get her eggs back from Pown. She had time to stay comfortable.

The plans of the two humans, or likewise beings, worked well enough. They were coming at him by both sides, and he could sense the other creatures coming up from behind, the Lollia and the Yumies. Hardly did he register the Naos even though its scent was clear. It was too small to take into account in this game. He was headed straight for a cliff area formed with large rocks piled on top of each other. It would be a dead end there, no chance to escape. His fun little game would be over then- he'd have to submit to someone. The Gifter wasn't liking this idea, so was trying to plot out ways of escape. The lot of is seemed useless. He'd have to take a chance. Too bad he didn't get to. When not paying close attention to the path head, he suddenly ran head first into a thick tree trunk, his antlers getting stuck. Try as he might, he was not able to yank himself free. He was left to struggle uselessly, frantically, trying to get loose to escape from it's pursuers.

The others had already chosen which way to go, Malice and Pown off and running, leaving Queen back to make a quick decision. Making some small calculations in her head, the little Yumi was able to come to a conclusion. "Hang on!" She warned again, as she started scurrying up a tree on the side opposite of Pown and Malice. That left the little Naos to either clamp down onto Queen's white fur and scurrying onto her forehead. And off she was! Moving almost perfectly with the Nobility Yumi, but only opposite side, hopping skillfully from branch to branch, eyes scanning and nose to the air.
The 'thunk' sound from the Gifter got all of the three's attention, though Pown was the last to spot it. When he finally arrived at the tree where the Gifter was stuck, Malice was back down on the floor chuckling at its miserable state. It was obviously in fine condition, as it was thrashing so much, angry. It wasn't in any pain, unless you counted what came from emotional embarrassment. On Queen's side of things, she pitied the creature. Her kind nature made her feel so. When she was back on the ground, she was beside Malice, speaking, "You should be more considerate." Her gentle scolding was in a more motherly way and, to one's surprise, it actually got the male to bite his tongue...
"Hey, Destiny," The human called out, "I'm going to need your help yanking him out." He dared not to get too close to the thrashing creature just yet. It would upset it farther, and perhaps end badly for one of them, if not both.

The sound had caught her ears as well, and she was there only moments after Pown, having started running a few seconds after him to begin with. Her crystal blue eyes fell upon the tangled beast, mixed emotions whirling around within them. On one side, she felt sorrow. She was saddened that the poor thing had gotten itself caught up, and knew that if this had happened some other time it likely could have cost the creature its life. On the other side, part of her wanted to laugh. That probably came from her beastial side, but it was part of her none the less. He wouldn't be the first, nor last, creature to get caught up like this.
Her eyes quickly turned to Pown upon being spoken to. She gave a small nod and spoke, "Just tell me what to do and I'll do the best I can. If you want me to hold it down, or if you want me to try to get free his antlers, I'll do it." Didn't matter to her what part in freeing this creature she took place, so long as they didn't just leave the poor thing there.
The naos let out a small squeak, but managed to quickly find a better spot and hold on the best it could with its tiny talons. Must have done an okay job too, for by the time they had reached where the Gifter was stuck she was still holding on.
Azmaria's ears swiveled forward, perking up at the sound of something falling that seemed to almost echo through the forest. Had they caught it? The Lollia picked up her pace a bit, wanting to see how things were going if they had managed to catch it.

"Meat eater." The male Yumi stated, mostly to himself. From what had been claimed from a previous hunt for these creatures, the darker furred Gifters were meat eaters. This one's fur was red, like they had seen when it ran past them in a hurry. Wasn't it also natural for creatures to know a bit about other creatures. Malice was like Pown, after all, fairly intellectual on all the creatures of Ladelle. When did he leave the man's hat? Hardly ever.
Queen's brow furrowed. "Oh you two, be careful." The Mint Yumi was suddenly fretting for her partner and the vixen, more so then for herself. If the Gifter was a meat eater, it could easily go after her and she'd probably be done for, but she wasn't the one trying to help it; they were, so they were in more danger then she. "And don't hurt it!"
An effort was made to approach the Gifter, but it just wouldn't stop its thrashing! After a few times of creeping closer, only to get the beast kicking at you, Pown was about to give up on the idea. It must not have wanted their help. "I don't think it likes me." He said, stepping back several steps to observe the situation. How could they free it without anyone getting harmed? "Perhaps it'd respond better to you." Did it sense his darkness? The entity of it wasn't there any longer, but his personality had remained much the same. You couldn't change your inner core.

The Gifter remained unable to be approached. It never stopped thrashing, not for long. The close angle allowed everyone to see that its pelt was a darker red/brown shade, unlike any of the other Gifters found so far. But it was then that another set of hooves was heard, it hadn't been an illusion. A second Gifter approached into the clearing area, almost laughing. It was laughing as best that a creature could, making small sounds, head held eye and eyes shining in amusement. It must have found the other Gifter's situation to be funny. It wasn't even afraid of those that had gathered. It didn't flee. Upon the appearance of the other, mor red, Gifter, the victimized one stopped trying to force itself free. It stood there, without making any movement, aside from its ears going back. It felt ashamed that its friend and caught up to it while stuck into a tree. Poor thing. Perhaps the second Gifter acted as a calming enough element for the humans to get the first one free? It was worth a shot.

Meat eaters? Ah yes. She remembered trying to tempt Gifters at the last hunt with meat. But... other then those in the area, there was no meat with which to tempt this time. She hadn't really planned for all of this, so she hadn't brought any meat with her. Blood... Would that do the trick? It was rather tempting to bite into her own hand to draw forth a bit of blood to see if it'd get the Gifter's attention, but soon it seemed as though there was no need for such a thing. The vixen's eyes fell upon the second Gifter, ears twitching at the sight of its amusement. Its fellow Gifter was caught up like this and all it could do was laugh? She let out a tiny growl, doing her best not to lash out at it.
Getting her mind off the 'laughter' of the redder of the two Gifters, Destiny turned back to the one that was caught. She took slow, small steps until she was close enough to it to let her hand rest gently on one of its shoulder blades, running her hand down its back. It still had every chance in the world to lash out and attack her, but she seemed to have forgotten all about that for now. She was now close enough, so her mind was set on freeing him. Set on staying there until the end, even if it meant pain in the end. "It's alright." she cooed, her voice softer then usual. "No need to make a fuss anymore. We'll get you out of here, and then if you'd like you can even go beat up on that meanie over there." Meanie..? What an oh so expressive word she had come up with for the other Gifter.
As Azmaria caught up to the others she saw Destiny walking up to the trapped Gifter. Oh dear.. This didn't look like it was going to turn out too well. Or... would it?

Gray had backed off for a while, her tail twitching hard against the ground. Humans! They never understood anything about her! So, now, she stepped in, slashing her claws near Pown's face.
"You idiot human! You think everyone acts the same as you? In case you didn't notice, I'm part feline! And I have feline instincts! They told me to chase the Gifter!"
(Why does it seem our characters never get along?)

Bad.Move. Up until Gray dared to lash out at him, Pown was actually amused by the second Gifter. It wasn't a funny matter, what Destiny had thought up. Had this been any other circumstance and a Gifter got caught like this, it wouldn't have been so fortunate. However, Gifters only appeared like these on the alloted days and up until they were befriended or got bored of the humans chasing them. The one caught up now wouldn't have done so had he not been playing games with them and forcing them to chase it down. Because of those facts, it really was a funny situation. Trying to trick them, only to get so caught up that this would happen. If he was going to be taking an alliance with a Gifter, it would certainly be the second one. Yes, he was fond of it already. He was more then willing to let Destiny try for the other. She'd be a better companion for that one, anyway, he could almost sense it. But, shortly after all of his mental debating and the vixen going the one's aid, Gray made a severe mistake...
When she clawed near his face, his hand swiftly took a hold of her wrist and yanked her forward to get into her face. If she used her other hand, so be it. Like he honestly cared? Of course he didn't. He was growling too, even though he was human, it sounded plenty dangerous enough. Or it did when mixed with the hostility apparent in his expression and the way he held himself. "And you think that's any excuse? You're not the only one with creature qualities here. You just lack the ability to control yourself. Anything can be civil." Destiny here was part fox, that didn't make her rampage, and it was very unwise to go assume anything about Pown. She didn't have a clue about him. "If I'm an such idiot, then you're the most pathetic thing to step foot on this planet. Putting others in danger because your lack of ability. It's ridiculous and very stupid on your part." After his stern words had passed in the quick flurry that they actually did, he let her go, thrusting her back away from him by the use of her captured arm.
She shouldn't even be around if she was going to place them in danger. Especially, the Gifters. After what she'd done, he saw that she had no right to alliance with one. And why would one want to? If he had to guess, they would find her too much of a threat.
[Perhaps because it's always my spiteful characters end up being around? As I've told everyone, Pown's a hater, not a lover. Gets along with a very select few, or pretends to for certain situations. He even happens to hate most of my characters, even my self character, Toxic. Actually, he hates her with quite a passion.]

Surprisingly, the mischivious Gifter stuck in the tree trunk didn't act out against Destiny as she came close. When she first touched it, it tensed up, only to loosen up once she began to speaking to him. Now all he wanted was to get unstuck and out of the embarrasing situation. As long as she wasn't going to harm him, then he'd place faith in her to help him. He needed to get free.
As for the second Gifter, it snorted when growled at. He was the other Gifter's friend, more or less, and had knew his friend's plan. It was funny that he trapped himself into getting caught, ending the game they had planned out, and before he could have much of a part in it. Too bad. It looks like they'd found themselves human allianaces though. All well that ends well, or...maybe not...
As Gray snapped, it snorted, beating its forepaws against the ground. It didn't like what she was doing. Not what so ever. And she had chased it's friend, hunted it's friend. It didn't look so good, for when they came to decide on who they'd end up going with.

Her ears gave a small flick, listening to the happenings around. Still, she didn't have time to worry about what was going on. Pown could handle himself rather well, and he had expressed that he wanted her to go ahead and help this one. Might as well get that done for the both of them, that way he wouldn't have yet another thing to take care of ontop of everything else. Her hand slid from its back to brush over its maw, smoothing out its fur. "There we go. See, not gonna harm ya." Now that she knew the Gifter wasn't going to lash out she'd be able to get a lot more done. "Now be very careful... because if you move while I'm doing this there might be a bit of pain.
Grabbing hold of part of the branch that had snagged the Gifter's antlers, the bark burst into blue flames. Before any harm could be done to the antlers or his fur, Destiny jerked his head back gently, causing the smaller twigs of the branch to break off and fall to the ground. Once the creature was free the flames quickly disappeared, that way there would be no chance of harm. "There we go!" the vixen chimmed. (Er... And now I remember it was the actual trunk. XD Oh well. Close enough. =P And Azmaria ish jsut watching. *lazy and doing homework* )

[And, unfortunately, Gray doesn't really like humans either...] Memories flashed back to her, and she pressed her ears back and hissed, scratching Pown with her free hand. Fury coursed through her body, as she remembered something from long ago...
"You monster!" screamed the man, grabbing her by her arms and shaking her fiercely. "You are not of this earth! You go against the laws of nature and God! You must die!" He drew back and threw her into the flames of her house, ignoring her scream.
"YOU KNOW NOTHING!" she howled, her rage now completely controlling her. "Have you listened to a wise coyote share the secrets of the herbs, then watched him die by a bullet? Have you lost your brother by the same bullet? Have you held him in your arms as he died? Have you been hunted down, nearly killed, only because you are different? We accepted you humans, we shared our food with you, and you tried to kill us! Show me you deserve respect for what you have done, and I will give it to you!"
[o_0 They can be almost equal in ranting...]

[Looks like we mixed up two very hateful people then. XD;; Jeez. Scary.]
As he was scratched, and blood trickled down his face, the man broke into a laugh. Seeming just slightly deranged for that short moment in time, or maybe more then slightly, but the point was received. He certainly wasn't like normal humans, by how he acted. He was set apart from them too.
His response was quite heartless, "Maybe I was the one who killed him, you're coyote friend. Perhaps your brother too." Of course, he must not have been, but it was the princeple of the matter, saying something to her that would tick her off further. "I'd have no problem with killing off my own brother." he added in a mumble to himself, though she'd probably be able to pick it up with her feline sensitive eras. Still so bitter about the past, he was. What lovely little things he'd strived for, and his brother crushed them all. Now, all thanks to him, he lived in exile. "And I wouldn't say I know nothing, I'm sure I know more of this world then you do." he shrugged. "And, as far as I'm concerned, you've stepped out of your place, still."
A glance was offered back at the Gifter, who was stamping it's feet. "It must think so too. And I've taken quite a liking to it." At that time, he took a step back closer to it, and farther from Gray. Conversation ended?
Throughout this whole time, Queen was now on the other side of Malice, shrinking away from the conflict. She was always faithful to her friends, but hated fighting, no matter what the reason. She wished they wouldn't have had these problems. And now that they did, she wished they could just get out of here... Then an idea struck her... She waddled up to the most red Gifter, stepping around the area and Pown too, and began to speak to it, wary. "E-excuse me, Gifter...Sir..? I-I don't want this to break into a fight..." She glanced at Gray and then Pown, between them, with pleading eyes. "You're even ready for this, but...That's not what this is about....Please?"
As for Malice, he continued to watch from the sidelines, not saying a word. He was indifferent as to what was going on, if not truthfully routing in favor of the fight, just to see how they happened to fight and all what his companion would do... The Nobility Yumi was very much like Pown, in many ways, but wasn't needed in this argument.

Gray's teeth gnashed, and she wrenched her hand free, then ran off into the woods. "Stupid humans...stupid, stupid, stupid!" She didn't even care about the Gifter anymore. They could have it, if it chose them! Fate was always cruel to her...just like that. And Pown's face...too similar, too similar to those mocking humans with the guns! Tears were streaming down her face now, and she realized she was screaming herself hoarse.
